Grenadine and Saffron’s baby Baily (formerly Heidi’s) happened to have their bear suits on as they were preparing for a little trek outdoors – easy photo opportunity!

Heidi took Saffron to our favorite veggie stand where they were having a huge pumpkin sale and Heidi likes nothing more than posing kids in (and amongst) pumpkins.

Saffron always wants to help with whatever needs to be made. She especially enjoys flour based treats (and eating the flour) but making pizza is always a good time too.

Grenadine is becoming really easy to get to smile. You put your face in front of hers and if she’s eaten in the last 30 minutes, you’re almost guaranteed a smile.

We enjoy posing these kiddos together and trying to get a nice picture of them. In the latter one, we got one of Saffron’s best smiles yet. She was busy pulling her feet up and pounding them on the bed – laughing feverishly every time.

Saffron had a wonderful 2nd Birthday party with a bunch of her favorite BC friends over yesterday. She has been looking forward to this for awhile, mostly to sing ‘the Happy song’ but also because she got to have cake made of ice-cream.

After Saffron walked away from Baby Einstein videos a few times, we determined that it was time for something that took it to the next level. Our friend, Amy, recommended ‘The Backyardigans‘ and after a watch or two, we were skeptical but the characters soon grew on us as did some of the catchy tunes.

Saffron now wants to see a ‘hippo video’ every day as they are her favorite. One of the funniest things that Saffron picked up is she imitates the Moose of the Mist and makes a ‘oooo’ sound and looks to the side, like Tyrone. I tried to get a picture of Saffron doing it yesterday but it didn’t work, so here’s the original.

We’re also big fans of the Curious George videos, so they make it into the daily rotation once in awhile also.

We went over to our friends, Rachel and Andy’s, and Andy got a nice picture of Rachel holding Grenadine. What a difference a fancy camera makes.

CBS claims that Pomegranate Juice is the healthiest juice you could possibly drink as it contains the most of every type of antioxidant – ahead of Concord Grape, Blueberry, Cherry and anything else you can think of. Sadly, it’s also priced like its the healthiest juice out there…

BTW – Grenadine’s name is based on the French for Pomegranate in case you’re wondering why this is blog-worthy.

Saffron was just waking up and didn’t mind sharing her crib space to snuggle with Grenadine a little bit.
