Grenadine is taking her first parent-free activity in the same class as her sister – they both absolutely love gymnastics!

Grenadine’s cutting requires a lot of concentration, I think that’s a trait she got from me.

Heidi threw a major party with all of Grenadine’s favorite people (even Luke B!). A fun time was had by all.

Like Saffron, we believe that Grenadine is hitting her terrible three’s as she skipped the terrible two’s all together. Here’s hoping it goes quick.

Grenadine had already done about 4 or 5 before she started on this binge of somersaults. She loves the finale of somersaulting right into something (like supper in this case)

For the last month of so, Grenadine has been potty training and she was able to catch on pretty quickly to it. So far, she’s pretty much completely daytime trained and now she’s working on her nights.

We took this picture specifically because it reminded us of Saffron doing the same thing.

Saffron has always been in to clothes. On a normal day, Saff probably goes through 3+ complete changes of clothes. Recently, she asked our friend who was staying for night what she was going to wear the next day.

The last three days, she’s been prepping her clothes for the next morning by intricately laying them out – every night, Heidi and I go in to get a good laugh at all the detail that she’s gone to.

Grenadine on the other hand, wants her monkey shirt and a pair of black leggings; for night, her purple princess nightie – that’s all. Ever.

Grenadine found a baby Chickadee hopping around in our backyard so her and Saffron were trying to get close to pet it (like a puppy). We also got to watch the Mom Chickadee swoop in periodically for a drive-by-feeding of a bug of some sort. The kids were really enjoying it, until I told them that they couldn’t hold, pet or touch the bird. Bummer.

Heidi has legislated a daily job for Saffron that she needs to do the dishes. Really, it’s harder on her than Saffron as she has to put up with a little complaining and a job not done quite how she would have done it but what great training.

Grenadine was feeling left out and was begging to be allowed to help out, Saffron was very happy to let her.

Since Grenadine took ballet and this was their song, she frequently asks to hear it and do her pointy finger on the chorus. This video almost seems like a complete reversal of our girls’ personalities with Saffron quietly coloring and Grenadine dancing it up.

Saffron broke through and became hand-feeding buddies with our neighbor bunny. Her and the neighbor girls are already making up plans to catch the rabbit and make it their ‘pet’. Bunny doesn’t know it but these carrots may come with a hefty price.
